Thomas started his career in the education sector between 2001 and 2006 rising to the level of Branch Manager of Zetech Group Colleges. He was among founding staff of Zetech College. He later joined the Kenya High Commission Dares Salaam, Tanzania as an expatriate in charge Information Communication Technology.
